A very cold morning just before Christmas saw lead technicians from The Concrete & Corrosion Consultancy Practice rigging ropes from the top of a concrete water tower built in 1910.
We had offered, in an auction of promises, the chance to raise money for charity by abseiling down the 160 foot face of the tower.
A short induction was given followed by instruction from our IRATA trained technicians.
Each of the participants descended the tower with a technician close at hand to offer instruction and encouragement.
On completion certificates and framed photographs to remember the day were given.
A demonstration by our technicians of a rescue at high-level completed a very enjoyable day.
Thank you to all those who took part, both staff and victims!!
